Methods to Resolve QuickBooks Error Code PS077 or Error PS032

Follow the below given instructions to rectify the payroll error PS077 & PS032:

Method 1: Repair QuickBooks

  • Make sure you are logged into your QuickBooks account.

  • Close all open QuickBooks windows.

  • Open the Windows Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Delete keys together and selecting Open Task Manager.

  • Now, terminate all processes related to QuickBooks.

  • Now, head to the File menu, then select Utilities.

  • Choose the Repair QuickBooks option.

  • Another alternative approach is to open the Control Panel, and repair QuickBooks from there by visiting the Programs and Features tab. Then, choose Uninstall/Change tab and click on the Repair option.

  • Wait for the repair process to complete, and then reopen QuickBooks Desktop to check if the issues are resolved. If not, proceed to the next method.

Method 2: Use New Credentials for Signing into Company File

  • Open QuickBooks to start with.

  • Head to the Company menu and then choose the User and Password Setup.

  • Select the option to Set up User and then provide the necessary details.

  • Now, hit on Next and then click on Finish.

  • From the File menu, select Close Company/Logoff.

  • Sign in to the Company File using the new credentials.

  • The QuickBooks error PS077 or PS032 may be resolved. If not, proceed to the next method.

Method 3: Add a New User Account

  • Press the Windows key and go to Settings.

  • Choose Other Users and click on the option to Add Someone Else to this PC.

  • Opt for “I don’t have this Persons Sign-in Information”.

  • Select Add a User without a Microsoft Account and provide a name for the new account.

  • Follow up by hitting on Finish.

  • Select the newly created account, set it as Administrator, and click on Ok.

  • Open QuickBooks and access your company file(s). The Error PS077 or PS032 should not appear this time.

Method 4: Use QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool

  • Wait for the diagnosis to complete.

  • Reboot your system and check if the error is resolved.

Method 5: Copy Company Files to a New Folder

  • Right-click on the desktop, selects New, and chooses Folder.

  • Rename the folder as QBTEST.

  • Locate your QuickBooks Company File and copy it.

  • Paste the file into the new QBTEST folder.

  • Open QB Payroll and check if the issue is resolved.

Method 6: Rename QBWUSER.ini and EntitlementDataStore.ecml

  • Right-click on the QuickBooks icon on the Desktop and follow up by clicking on Properties. Nw hit on Open file location.

  • Locate and open the QBWUSER.ini file in the QuickBooks folder.

  • Rename it by adding .old to the existing name.

  • Similarly, rename the EntitlementDataStore.ecml file.

  • Now, open QuickBooks and access the company file.

  • Make a duplicate copy of the file and save it to your computers local folder.

  • Open the file from the folder and check if it opens without any error.
