  • After you install multiple versions of QuickBooks Desktop, you cannot exchange data between different versions (years) of QuickBooks.

  • You cannot easily transfer data or corporate files between QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and QuickBooks Desktop Pro or Premier.

  • Only one industry-specific version can be installed in each version of QuickBooks Desktop. You can used only one of from QuickBooks desktop premier 2018 retail or premier 2018 contractor on same system.

  • You can use different version of QuickBooks Desktop at same time. If you are working in Premier 2019, then you can also use Premier 2018. If you use the Accountant edition, you can only open Premier and Enterprise editions of the same year.

  • Regional versions and editions of QuickBooks cannot be mixed and matched. If you need multiple regions on the same computer, a web hosting service or a virtual machine can be used to set up an environment for each region.

Steps to install multiple versions in QuickBooks desktop in one computer

To install multiple version in QuickBooks desktop in one computer follow below steps-

  • In case if user don’t have the multiple version or edition of QuickBooks desktop then user first need to download it.

  • After downloading save it in that location where you can find it easily like in windows desktop or other.

  • After this step user need to open the quickbooks.exe file which downloaded earlier.

  • Now follow the all instruction which are on screen to install the software.

  • When the user gets to the installation type, they needs to choose the custom and network options.

  • In next step choose the custom option network option.
